Now until May 10th, 2025 – Cat Food Collection in Joni’s Memory
“Starve a cold, feed a sadness… Boston’s kitty-lovin’ hearts are heavy after learning of community leader, Joni Nelson’s passing, the tireless head of Boston’s Forgotten Felines, a nonprofit with an admirable band of volunteers with boundless energy. To honor Joni’s memory, we’re coordinating a wet/dry cat food collection effort starting today thru Saturday, May 10 to sustain her team during this very sad time; delivery to BFF has been arranged so her team can focus while hugging Joni’s memory by keeping things moving. Please consider participating by dropping off fresh, unopened wet or dry cat food in the teal collection box at 494 Lagrange Street in WRoxbury. You’re at the right place if you see the Snoopy doghouse; we’ll leave the lights on for you until 11pm. Please be sure to leave your name with the donation so we can properly thank you. This picture is our HP tuxedo rescue who’s been loving us 11 years come September and hopes to be a maître d’ one day at a fine seafood restaurant. Thanks for reading, have a great weekend!” -Susann E. Low
